I love the graphics and mood! The intro cinematic with the channel logo, news broadcast and aucoustic guitar really set the tone well.

We had issues with input lag, and got stuck in the first building due to the huge enemy mob combined with low ammo, health and (geographically) a single save point. I would advice making the starting areas less crowded. Keep building the mood by leaving the player isolated and unsure, instead of overwhelmed.

Gameplay wise this has a lot of promise! Feels like a real solid throwback survival game. Looking forward to seeing where you take it!

Bless!

I was just looking through my digital archives for the old copy of Pocket Task Force that you gave me at GothCon in the foreverago. Thought I might as well ask google if they've seen the game uploaded somewhere and voila - you've provided an itch for my scratch!

Not sure if it's of any interrest to you, but I did find in my own archives PTF v9, v10, v14, a Default Briefing and a copy of Boat Document Recovery.

Just wanted to leave a comment and let you know that the experience of playing Pocket Task Force has lived rent-free in my mind for near two decades now. Thanks for uploading it and making it available like this.

Great potential! This ambitious demo has a captivating art style and fantastic gunplay, though it could use some refinement. The dogs are a delightful touch, but for now you should consider removing the intro and focusing on the engaging "action sequence" to let players fully experience the unique and stronger parts of the game.

Introduce mechanics step-by-step to ensure smooth gameplay. For instance, provide instructions for using the gun at first pick-up, and introduce the slide mechanic before it's needed (to escape the armory).

For enhanced fluency and spelling, run your text through ChatGPT. Keep up the good work!

Hello! The distribution is a bit broken, you have to move the .exe inside the data folder to be able to launch the game. Nice art though, looking forward to trying again when you've got some mechanics in place.

I am the only admin with privileges to delete comments. I decided to delete the extra comments as I felt these were unfair and more than a little unkind to leave on the team's page.

As an admin, even I don't have access to any download statistics, so I am mighty curious how Griesgram even knows how many downloads this game got. If this is a serious accusation for which you have proof, I'd appreciate it if you submitted it to the department so we can take appropriate action.

Until that time, I have decided to leave the original accusation in place because, even though poor sportsmanship is not the type of behaviour we encourage at the education, the team responded gracefully.

The jam is over now, we're not going to change the outcome. It is not very nice to the winners to be accused like this. How about we congratulate the winners and move on.

This jam and its format was announced at the end of March, but we understand the current situation makes communication more difficult. As this is the first time we have used this system we may have not highlighted the changes as much as we could have.

The download is not a game.

The survey has not been tested (missing "Other" under types of fun, all questions are marked mandatory).
